Our Circuit sits on the wonderful North Devon and Cornwall coastline. You’ll know when you have reached us, as the trees begin to lean away from the predominant Westerly winds! The coastline is rugged, with high cliffs and wild seas. The South West Coast Path runs close to several of our chapels, and many of the towns and villages in our area are popular tourist destinations.
In each of our Chapels you will find a warm welcome. Worship is predominantly in the traditional Methodist style, although at Flexbury Park a more contemporary expression of worship takes centre stage. Flexbury Park, together with Bude Central are our two largest Methodist churches, with nine other smaller congregations making up the entire circuit family.
The circuit operates in three sections at the present time, with a minister looking after each one. We meet together for youth and Network events, and for regular music concerts and Sankey evenings which are especially popular.
Some of our chapels are developing fresh expressions of worship which include Bradworthy Alive, summer beach missions for holiday families and ongoing links with the surfing community.
It is a privilege to live in such a beautiful part of the country, and experience the changing seasons in all their glory. God¹s creation unfolds, in the abundant wayside flowers of springtime, the radiant summer sun, the autumn colours in our Coombe Valley Wood, and the roaring seas of winter.
We are constantly reminded of the presence of God, through all the beauty of nature around us, and through the fellowship of believers. across our churches.
