Meet & Eat Lunch Club

Flexbury Park Methodist Meet & Eat Lunch Club is a very successful venture which started eleven years ago now, by our then Minister’s wife Mrs Angela Simpkins.  

 

Since Angela moved to another circuit, we have been fortunate to have Mrs Eileen Nancekivell with a great band of helpers who perform various tasks.  At the present time we have nearly 40 volunteer helpers who help on a rota basis.

 

Our Lunch Club is held fortnightly on a Thursday - doors open from 12 noon, lunch being served at 12.30 pm.  At the present time we have nearly 60 participants on our books - being our limit because of fire regulations etc.

 

Any profits made after expenses are regularly given to charities, such as Shelter-Box UK, Tear Fund, Mission Aviation Fellowship and also some local needs.

 

We thank the Lord that  our Lunch Club continues to be a great success at Flexbury Park, an activity that reaches out to the community.
